JOURNAL 8: WHAT IS ABOUT THE BOOK

Book cover has a significant impact on the choices that I make about my reading, often leading me to make assumptions about the contents and the quality of the books. I may chose a book with most appealing book cover, because book’s cover implied promise.

I also have tendency to find uniqueness in the book, their uniqueness may be a result of their theme, plot, style of writings, characterization, format or illustration. Regardless of what uniqueness it may, it is the factors that might engage me to further read on the book. I probably not to chose a book that stereotype, therefore I will go for a book that promise something different, have no similarities with any other books (of same genre). Most importantly is to get books that have literary quality. A book that is coherent, but not predictable plot, has believable characters, satisfying resolution of conflict, has meaningful interaction among characters, has a significant themes and with appropriate settings. In short, it must be a book that consistent with reality.
